Once a deserted industrial area, Leerfabriek KVL has now transformed into a unique and bustling hotspot for Oisterwijk and its neighbouring towns. The complex is home to about 60 entrepreneurs, and every day some 500 people visit the grounds to enjoy lunch or dinner (Keuken van Leer), treat themselves to baked goods (Bij Robèrt), visit art exhibitions (EKWC), have a cup of coffee (Rozema & Van Schijndel), take dance lessons (Danserswijk), and experience the lively surroundings.

Plans for the Future

Polimeks took over as the new owner and developer from the Provincial Executive of Noord-Brabant.<br> Polimeks is dedicated to redevelop, repurpose and manage the various heritage buildings that were once part of the largest tannery in Europe.

Cem Siyahi, vice-chairman of Polimeks, is proud of the acquisition

"We were excited about KVL from the moment we first visited. The buildings not only embody a long history but also radiate enormous energy and diversity. We want to continue this dynamic and strengthen it. Our plan for the U-building is therefore based on three functions: staying, broadening, and connecting. With U-building as the central heart, we will carefully handle KVL and further develop it into a place with international allure. With our extensive knowledge and expertise, we aim to contribute to this place for a long time to come!"
